Hello my loves! I'm Cat Raybon Burns, formally a proud stylist in Sylva North Carolina and now an amazingly grateful stylist of Clyde North Carolina where I get to serve the most amazing people of western North Carolina, like you!

As an alternative girly I know what it feels like to go to a salon asking for an out of the norm haircut or color only to be given the same style as everyone else in town. There's nothing wrong with wanting the norm, but if it isn't what you want it can feel like the worst thing in the world. You want to be you, not someone else, and I strive to achieve that for you. I like to give a thorough consultation where I find out what you've always wanted to achieve with your look and then execute the most authentically you look as possible. Never loved what you see in the mirror? I want to fix that. You deserve it.

I've been gifted with being a stylist for 11+ years in these wonderful mountains we call home, and I love what I do with all my heart, I don't know what else I'd do other than hair, it's my heart. I specialize in vivids and alternative cuts, have years of experience in color correction and love doing men's cuts and children's hair. Also, as someone with loved ones who are neurodivergent, I am well acquainted with doing people's hair on the spectrum and am very patient and loving towards these beautiful people that deserve lovely hair like everyone else.

While there is stylist out there that can give you a beautiful cut and color, I strive to give you a personal transformation unique to you. I take my role as the person to give you the hair you've always wanted to heart and will actually listen and do what you ask for. Together as my guest we will make a plan to give you the hair you want and maintain it so you can finally feel like you. And as an added bonus we get to have fun and enjoy ourselves in our newly renovated salon this year in 2025, all with you in mind.

 

When I'm not in the salon I'm usually at home curled up on the couch reading a book with my three fur daughters: Leeloo, Panda, and Freya, cooking new recipes with my beloved Husband, or at a friend's house playing D&D or board games. I know I look off-putting to some, I have a very nonconventional look, but I love Disney movies and still sleep with my childhood teddy bear so maybe I'm just a big kid at heart. I'd love for you to get to know me and my impeccable dad jokes, and I'd be absolutely honored if you let me show you how truly you, I can make you look and how much you can love the way you look.
